Meena Naidu is the Associate Deputy Secretary Economic Recovery in Training Skills and Higher Education in the Department of Jobs Skills, Industry and Regions. She has responsibility for Apprenticeships Victoria and Higher Education and Workforce divisions of the Training Skills and Higher Education portfolios of government. Her focus in leading economy recovery is to work in partnership with industry and the broader government to support workforce needs, particularly in key sectors of our economy, including looking at innovative training products, delivery and supports. Her area is currently leading work on government’s Clean Economy Workforce Development Strategy, skills and training support for infrastructure, social services and advanced manufacturing as well as improving safeguards for apprentices.
With a Commerce degree and a Masters in Economic Regulation and Competition, Meena has over 25 years’ experience in public policy and regulation. She has worked across a broad range of sectors in Australia and internationally including transport, agriculture, utilities, health and human services.
